Klobuchar Statement On Death Of United States Capitol Police Officer

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) released the following statement on the death of United States Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick:

 “I am deeply saddened by the death of Officer Brian Sicknick who served with the United States Capitol Police for over 12 years. My heart goes out to his family.

 “The insurrection at the Capitol was more than an assault on democracy, it was a real life or death situation for many brave law enforcement officers who show up to work each day. I am heartbroken and angered over the loss of this officer. Those responsible for this death and other violence at the Capitol must be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”
