WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration, released the following statement today after the committee voted to advance three Federal Election Commission nominations to the full Senate: Shana M. Broussard, Sean J. Cooksey, and Allen Dickerson. The three nominations passed by voice vote.
“The Federal Election Commission has been without a quorum since August of this year and without a full slate of commissioners since February 2017,” said Blunt. “Confirming these three nominees would restore a full panel of commissioners at the FEC. With all six commissioners in place, the FEC will be stable, politically balanced, and able to fulfill its most important functions. I urge all of my Senate colleagues to give these nominees their full consideration.”
